SAP FICO Consultant - 10+ Months - Remote - India

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP FICO SME to support both business-as-usual activities and a major SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation program. The successful consultant will play a key role in maintaining the stability of the current SAP finance landscape while supporting migration, testing, and implementation activities as the organization transitions to S/4HANA.

About You

You are a hands-on SAP Finance professional with strong expertise across SAP FI/CO, SAP ECC support, and S/4HANA transformation initiatives. You are comfortable working closely with finance stakeholders, troubleshooting production issues, supporting financial close processes, and contributing to large-scale SAP transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for SAP FICO in a production SAP ECC environment, including incidents, service requests, and change requests.
• Maintain and enhance SAP FI/CO master data, configurations, and business processes.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close activities.
• Partner with finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective SAP solutions.
• Participate in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration activities, including testing, validation, and cutover support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across MM, SD, PP, and other integrated SAP modules.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, test scripts, and solution designs.
• Contribute to continuous improvements and support the adoption of AI-driven use cases within Finance.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of SAP FICO experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO configuration, master data, and support activities.
• Proven experience supporting SAP ECC production environments.
• Experience supporting month-end and year-end financial close processes.
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC to S/4HANA Finance transformation concepts.
• Experience participating in S/4HANA implementation and/or support projects.
• Experience with testing, integrations, documentation, and cutover activities.
• Knowledge of cross-functional integrations with SAP MM, SD, PP, and related modules.
• Experience working with Jira, ServiceNow, and qTest.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous involvement in large-scale SAP Finance transformation programs.
• Experience supporting global SAP environments.
• Awareness of AI use cases within Finance and Controlling processes.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is advantageous.
• Experience working within multinational or enterprise organizations.
