Job Description

The SAP Executive will be responsible for day‑to‑day SAP operations, transaction management, reporting, and coordination with business stakeholders to ensure smooth and accurate system usage. The role requires strong functional understanding of SAP processes, data accuracy, and user support across departments.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Operations & Transaction Management

  • Handle end‑to‑end SAP transactions related to procurement, inventory, sales, billing, or production (as applicable).
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, validation, and processing in SAP.
  • Monitor system transactions to ensure compliance with approved processes and controls.

Module & Process Support

  • Provide functional support across SAP modules such as MM, SD, WM, PP, or FICO (interface coordination).
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (procurement, stores, finance, planning, projects) for seamless SAP operations.
  • Resolve user issues related to master data, transactions, reports, and system workflows.

Master Data Management

  • Create, maintain, and validate material masters, vendor masters, customer masters, BOMs, pricing, and cost centers.
  • Ensure master data accuracy and consistency as per governance standards.

Reporting & MIS

  • Generate SAP reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Support audit requirements by providing SAP data, logs, and reports.
  • Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities from a system perspective.

Process Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure SAP usage aligns with internal controls, approval hierarchies, and audit requirements.
  • Monitor deviations and highlight risks related to data or process gaps.
  • Support SOX / internal audits (if applicable).

Coordination & Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a bridge between business users and SAP/IT teams.
  • Support SAP enhancements, UAT, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Suggest process improvements and automation opportunities within SAP.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands‑on experience in SAP functional operations (MM/SD/WM/PP preferred).
  • Good understanding of end‑to‑end business processes integrated with SAP.
  • Proficiency in SAP reporting, transaction monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data accuracy.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel and MIS reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Management, or IT.
  • 8-10 years of hands‑on experience in SAP operations or functional support roles.
  • SAP certification in a relevant module will be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to EPC / construction / manufacturing / supply chain environments preferred.
