SAP EWM Functional Consultant

Location: Chennai

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and analyze existing warehouse processes.

Design and document end-to-end SAP EWM solutions, from blueprinting to functional specifications for custom developments (RICEFW objects).

Configure the SAP EWM module for core warehouse processes such as inbound and outbound logistics, picking, packing, and physical inventory.

Integrate SAP EWM with other modules like SAP ERP (MM, SD, PP) and with automated warehouse systems or 3rd party logistics providers.

Conduct system testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) to ensure the solution meets business requirements.

Develop user training materials and conduct workshops to facilitate system adoption.

Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot production issues, including queue monitoring and bug fixes.

Recommend process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse operations.

Manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables as part of a larger project team.

Qualifications and skills:

Strong experience in SAP EWM configuration, with a proven background in warehouse and logistics processes.

Participation in at least one or two full-cycle SAP EWM implementation projects.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders.

Proficiency in creating documentation for technical specifications and user training.

SAP EWM certification is often preferred.
