Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and actively participate in end-to-end SAP EWM implementations, including Requirement Gathering, Blueprinting, Design, Configuration, Testing, Go-Live, and Hypercare support.
- Configure and support SAP EWM (Decentralized and S/4HANA Embedded EWM) solutions in both on-premise and cloud-oriented landscapes.
- Design, configure, and optimize Inbound and Outbound warehouse processes, including:
- Goods Receipt
- Putaway strategies
- Picking strategies (wave, batch, WOCR, etc.)
- Packing & Handling Unit Management
- Staging
- Goods Issue
- Drive process alignment across Order-to-Cash (O2C), Supply Chain Management, and Warehouse Execution processes.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP EWM and SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) for outbound processes such as sales orders, deliveries, and billing.
- Work closely on integration with SAP TM (Transportation Management) for freight planning, transportation units, and shipment execution.
- Gather and analyze business requirements from manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders and translate them into scalable SAP EWM solutions.
- Lead functional workshops, prepare Functional Specifications (FS), and coordinate with technical teams for RICEF developments and enhancements.
- Perform system configuration including:
- Warehouse structure setup (Warehouse Number, Storage Types, Storage Sections, Activity Areas)
- Process-oriented storage control
- Slotting and rearrangement
- RF framework configuration
- PPF setup
- Monitoring and exception handling
- Support rollout projects, including localization, template adaptation, data migration, and user training.
- Conduct Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT); resolve defects and ensure smooth deployment.
- Provide post-go-live support and hypercare stabilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across SD, MM, TM, PP, and Finance to ensure end-to-end supply chain process efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, especially within Manufacturing and Automotive supply chain environments.
- Prepare documentation including Business Process Documents (BPD), Functional Design Documents (FDD), Configuration Documents, and End-User Training Materials.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong SAP EWM Functional Consultant Profile
- Mandatory (Experience 1) Must have 6+ years of strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
- Mandatory (Experience 2) Must have completed at least 2 end-to-end SAP EWM implementations and minimum 1 rollout project (full lifecycle exposure Requirement Gathering to Go-Live & Hypercare).
- Mandatory (Experience 3) Strong hands-on experience in Inbound and Outbound warehouse processes, including Goods Receipt, Putaway, Picking, Packing, Staging, and Goods Issue.
- Mandatory (Experience 4) Must have strong process knowledge in O2C (Order-to-Cash), Supply Chain Management, and Warehouse Execution processes.
- Mandatory (Experience 5) Must have hands-on experience in Decentralized EWM and SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM (Cloud-oriented landscape preferred).
- Mandatory (Experience 6) Strong integration knowledge with SAP SD (Sales & Distribution Outbound processes) and SAP TM (Transportation Management).
- Mandatory (Domain Exposure) Candidates must have worked in Manufacturing or Supply Chain-driven environments; Automotive industry experience preferred.
