Role Summary
Looking for an experienced SAP EDI Consultant with strong expertise in EDI standards, mappings, and SAP IDOC processing, responsible for managing end-to-end EDI data flows and ensuring accurate integration between SAP and external trading partners.
Core Skills Required
EDI Expertise & Mapping (HIGH PRIORITY)- Strong understanding of:
- ANSI X12 / EDIFACT standards
- Hands-on experience with transactions:
- 850, 855, 856, 810, 940, 945, 943, 947, 997
- Ability to:
- Understand and validate EDI message structures and mappings
- Analyze and troubleshoot EDI data issues across systems
- Work with mapping logic between:
- External systems / EDI providers
- Middleware
- SAP IDOCs
- Experience in:
- Trading partner onboarding and EDI setup
- Reviewing and validating EDI mapping specifications
SAP IDOC Expertise (MANDATORY)- Strong hands-on experience in:
- IDOC structures (Basic types, Message types, Segments)
- Inbound and outbound IDOC processing
- Configuration experience:
- Partner profiles (WE20)
- Ports (WE21)
- Monitoring & support:
- WE02 / WE05 for IDOC tracking
- Error handling and reprocessing
IDOC Enhancements & Debugging- Experience in:
- Enhancing standard IDOCs / creating custom segments
