Position: SAP ECC Finance Functional Support

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Finance and Controlling (FICO) module and a strong understanding of SAP ECC with IS-Retail and retail-specific processes. This role involves proactive incident resolution, root cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless business operations. The consultant is expected to handle complex issues with the same depth and rigor as SAP Support, including familiarity with OSS notes.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Candidate should have relevant support project experience of 5+ years (preferred 8+ years) of SAP Finance and Controlling experience with at least 1 IS-Retail implementation and/or 2 support projects with SME role exposure
- Strong functional SAP FICO modules and integration with other SAP applications
- Expertise in configuration of FI Sub modules GL, AP, AR, AA, Fixed Assets
- Support integration points with other modules such as SD, MM/Procurement, Planning, EWM
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of flows of actual values like Transfer of Incoming Sales Orders, Transfer of Billing Documents, Order and Project Settlement, Direct Posting from FI/MM, Settlement of Production Variances, Transfer of Overheads, creating/ modification of Value Fields and Characteristics, Profitability Segments, GR/IR
- Knowledge of Profit Center Accounting & Cost Center Accounting
- Planning and Budgeting on Controlling side
- Good understanding of Allocations, Top-Down Distributions, Assessments
- Analyzing and improving business processes
- Customizing, configuring the SAP FICO system and enhancing the system as needed
- Validations and Substitution rules as per the needs of the client and involved in creating SAP queries and user exits
- Troubleshooting of IDOC, DME & EBS related issues
- Data Migration from Legacy system to SAP for upgrading /new implementation/integration, import of data from any other external system to SAP using LSMW
- Proven ability to perform in-depth analysis and resolve incidents using foundational debugging techniques. Strong proficiency in navigating SAP tables and conducting program-level diagnostics. Demonstrates a structured and effective approach to incident resolution, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), ability to communicate within project team with the business, leveraged IT personnel
