Job Purpose:
The SAP Development Manager is responsible for leading a team of developers to design, build, and implement SAP solutions that meet business requirements and drive operational efficiency. With a focus on quality and innovation, the Development Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of SAP developers to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
- Define and drive the SAP development strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members.
- Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and plan development activities.
- Manage budget, resources, and deliverables to meet project milestones.
- Stay updated on latest SAP technologies and industry trends to suggest improvements.
- Define KPIs, track performance metrics, and report on project progress to senior management.
- Resolve technical issues, escalations, and risks in a timely manner.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- SAP certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in SAP development.
- Experience leading a team of software developers.
- Strong understanding of SAP technologies and integration processes.
- Proven track record of successful project implementations.
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP, SAP Fiori, and SAP Cloud Platform.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong project management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
