Job Title: SAP Data Architect

Location: Remote

Role Description: In this role you will design and govern the data models, structures, and pipelines that move data out of SAP ERP systems and into the hands of business decision-makers. You will work client delivery teams on enterprise-scale S/4HANA and data & analytics programs, owning the architecture that ensures data is accurate, performant, and analytics-ready. SQL fluency is at the core of this role, complemented by hands-on SAP data modeling experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain logical and physical data models that source from SAP ERP (ECC and S/4HANA) and downstream analytics platforms.

• Architect data extraction, transformation, and integration flows that move SAP data into cloud data warehouses and reporting layers.

• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL to build and validate data structures, transformations, and performance-tuned queries.

• Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, data quality rules, and governance across delivery engagements.

• Partner with onshore leadership, functional consultants, and client stakeholders to translate business and reporting requirements into sound data architecture.

• Support data migration and provisioning workstreams, including reconciliation, validation, and cutover.

Required Qualifications

• Strong SAP experience, with a working understanding of SAP data structures and how data is sourced from SAP ERP systems.

• Solid, demonstrable SQL expertise.

• Hands-on experience designing data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) in an enterprise environment.

• Experience building or supporting data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integration between source systems and analytics or warehouse layers.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data quality, and data governance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with onshore teams across time zones.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA experience (strongly preferred), including familiarity with its data model and embedded analytics.

• Experience with SNP Glue.

• Exposure to cloud data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake (nice to have).

• Experience with SAP BTP, SAP BDC, or BW/4HANA.
