Job Title: Revenue Accounting Recognition (RAR) Functional Specialist – Finance IT

Your responsibilities:

• You have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements specific to the financial services industry.
• You ensure that IT systems and processes comply with relevant regulations, such as data protection, privacy, and financial reporting standards, with a particular emphasis on SAP Finance compliance. Ensure that the revenue recognition process in SAP complies with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
• Lead SAP RAR Configuration & Implementation: Configure and implement SAP Revenue Accounting and Recognition (RAR) module to ensure compliance with the IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards.
• Work closely with the business teams to gather and analyze business requirements, providing SAP solutions that meet financial reporting and compliance needs.
• Design and implement Revenue Recognition rules, including contract modifications, performance obligations, and variable considerations.
• Functional Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support and guidance to users of the SAP Revenue Accounting module. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to revenue recognition, journal entries, and reporting within SAP RAR.
• Perform regular maintenance of SAP RAR configurations and resolve any issues that arise in the system.
• Support Integration & Data Management: Collaborate with the technical team to ensure proper integration of SAP RAR with other SAP modules (e.g., FI, CO, SD, MM) and third-party systems.
• Assist in data migration from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring the smooth transition of historical data for revenue recognition processes.
• Support the generation of financial statements and management reports based on recognized revenue and deferred revenue.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting materials related to revenue recognition processes and system configurations.
• Provide training to business users and key stakeholders on the usage of the SAP Revenue Accounting module and best practices.
• Develop user manuals, training materials, and system documentation to ensure proper usage and understanding of SAP RAR.
• Work with business and IT stakeholders to identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions for continuous improvement in revenue recognition and accounting processes.
• Stay current with updates and enhancements to SAP RAR and regulatory changes to maintain system compliance.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in SAP Finance modules, with a strong focus on SAP Revenue Accounting and Recognition (RAR). Proficient in SAP configuration and customization within the SAP RAR module.
• Extensive experience in implementing and supporting IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition rules in SAP.
• Hands-on experience with system configurations, testing, and troubleshooting in SAP RAR.
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition concepts, including performance obligations, contract modifications, and multiple-element arrangements.
• In-depth understanding of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and solve complex business problems.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications for SAP solutions.
• Knowledge of integration points between SAP modules (e.g., SD, FI, CO, MM).
• Familiarity with ABAP (optional but preferred) for basic troubleshooting and customizations in SAP.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Fiori for reporting and dashboards is a plus
• Very good communications skills, own initiatives, able to work independently and excellent analytical skills round of your profile.
