Position OverviewThe SAP Consultant is responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing and configuring SAP solutions, supporting system implementations, and ensuring the effective use of SAP modules to optimize organizational processes. This role works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to deliver high-quality SAP functionality and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities1. Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering- Collaborate with business users to understand process requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and gap analysis to determine business needs.
- Document functional specifications and process flows.
2. SAP Configuration & Customization- Configure SAP modules according to business requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP developers) for system enhancements and custom developments.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
3. Implementation & Deployment- Participate in SAP project implementations, rollouts, and upgrades.
- Support data migration activities, including mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Prepare system documentation, training materials, and user guides.
4. Support & Troubleshooting- Provide post-implementation support and resolve SAP issues within agreed SLAs.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and compliance standards.
5. Stakeholder Coordination- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, HR, IT, etc.).
- Communicate project updates, risks, and mitigation plans to management.
- Assist in change management and user training activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience (27+ years) as an SAP Consultant in at least one module (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, ABAP).
- Strong understanding of business processes related to their SAP module.
- Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to write functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications- SAP module certification (e.g., SAP FICO, SAP SD, SAP MM).
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of integration with other SAP modules.
- Project management experience (Agile/Waterfall).
- Experience in end-to-end implementations.
