Job Profile: SAP S/4HANA Master Data Governance (MDG) Trainer

Location: Remote / Hybrid (US Time Zones Preferred)

Engagement Type: Contract / Part-Time / Full-Time (Flexible)

Duration: 12 Months (extendable)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Master Data Governance (MDG) Trainer to design and deliver hands-on training for business users, functional consultants, and technical teams. The trainer will be responsible for enabling learners to effectively govern, manage, validate, and replicate master data across enterprise landscapes using SAP S/4HANA and MDG.

This role will support both implementation readiness and long-term data governance adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

• Deliver end-user, power-user, and administrator training for:
• SAP MDG for Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance master data
• SAP S/4HANA data governance workflows
• Tailor training to:
• Business users
• Data stewards
• Functional consultants
• Technical teams

System & Functional Coverage

• Teach and demonstrate:
• MDG Data Models and Customization
• BRF+ and Rule Framework
• Change Request Management
• Duplicate Check & Data Validation
• Workflow & Approval Processes
• MDG Replication Framework (DRF)
• Integration with ECC, S/4HANA, and external systems

Stakeholder & Program Support

• Support:
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) readiness
• Post-go-live hypercare and adoption
• Provide:
• Office hours
• Troubleshooting sessions
• Performance coaching for data stewards

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP experience with 3+ years in SAP MDG
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP MDG Configuration and Customization
• Proven experience training:
• Business Users
• Data Stewards
• SAP Functional & Technical Consultants
• Deep understanding of:
• Data Governance frameworks
• Master Data domains
• Workflow and data quality enforcement
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills

Technical Skills

• SAP MDG Configuration
• BRF+ Rules Framework
• Data Replication Framework (DRF)
• Workflow Configuration
• Data Quality & Validation Frameworks
• SAP Fiori for MDG
• S/4HANA Data Model & Integration

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP MDG Certification
• SAP S/4HANA Certification
• Prior experience with:
• SAP MDM / SAP Data Services
• Enterprise Data Governance Programs
• Experience working with:
• Manufacturing, Retail, Supply Chain, or Finance data models
