Job Description

SAP EAM Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP EAM (PM) enhancements, bug fixes, troubleshooting errors, resolving P1/P2 incidents, and support during upgrades
  • Gather and analyze business requirements related to asset management and maintenance processes
  • Configure SAP EAM components including:
  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling
  • Work Order Management
  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
  • Notifications and Breakdown Processing
  • Measuring Points, Counters, and Maintenance Plans
  • Design and optimize asset structures (functional locations, equipment, BOMs, task lists)
  • Integrate SAP EAM with other SAP modules such as MM, WM, FI/CO, PS, and SAP S/4HANA
  • Support data migration, master data governance, and asset hierarchies
  • Develop functional specifications and support technical developments (enhancements, workflows, reports)
  • Perform system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and resolve defects
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live support
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on best practices and process improvements

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP EAM / SAP PM
  • Strong understanding of asset-intensive business processes
  • Experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA EAM
  • Proven configuration experience across core EAM components
  • Knowledge of maintenance strategies, reliability concepts, and asset lifecycle management
  • Experience working in implementation projects and support environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desirable Skills

  • SAP EAM certification (ECC or S/4HANA)
  • Experience with SAP MRS, SAP Asset Manager, or SAP FSM
  • Experience in asset-heavy industries (utilities, mining, manufacturing, transport)
  • Knowledge of Agile or hybrid project methodologies

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
