Job Description

We are looking for a skilled SAP Datasphere Developer with hands-on experience in data modeling, transformation, and ETL within SAP Datasphere. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing semantic data models, building data pipelines, and integrating SAP and non-SAP systems.

The candidate will work closely with analytics and functional teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions, ensuring compliance with governance, security, and performance best practices.

Project Context

This role supports enterprise data initiatives by:

• Designing and implementing semantic data models using Business Layer and Analytical Models.
• Developing data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and harmonization from multiple sources.
• Configuring Data Builder for tables, views, and transformations.
• Building and optimizing CDS views for SAP S/4HANA or ECC extraction.
• Managing replication flows for real-time and batch data synchronization.
• Automating job execution with task chains.
• Ensuring data-level authorization with Data Access Control.

Key Responsibilities

Data Modeling & ETL

• Design, develop, and maintain semantic data models in SAP Datasphere.
• Configure Data Builder for tables, views, and transformations.
• Develop data flows and pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and harmonization.
• Build SQL-based views for reporting and analytics.
• Optimize CDS views for SAP extraction.

Data Integration & Replication

• Configure and monitor Replication Flows for SAP and non-SAP sources.
• Troubleshoot and optimize replication performance using Data Integration Monitor.
• Manage real-time and batch data synchronization processes.

Governance & Automation

• Implement data access control and security best practices.
• Automate tasks chains for ETL job execution.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and performance standards.

Collaboration & Advisory

• Collaborate with functional and analytics teams to deliver solutions.
• Assess SAP roadmap and its impact on Datasphere.
• Provide technical guidance on best practices and integration strategies.

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

SAP Datasphere Core Components:

• Data Builder (Tables, Views, Transformations)
• Business Builder (Business Entities, Semantic Models)
• Data Integration (Replication Flows, Remote Tables, Data Flows)
• SQL-based Views

SAP Integration:

• CDS Views for extraction
• ODATA Connections
• APIs for data extraction

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
• Exposure to API-based integrations and data virtualization
