This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP CO Consultant based in India.
This is a senior-level SAP Controlling role focused on delivering end-to-end financial and management accounting solutions across complex global implementations. You will work on designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP CO processes that directly support enterprise-level decision-making in areas such as product costing, profitability analysis, and cost management. The role involves hands-on contribution across multiple S/4HANA transformation programs, with strong exposure to manufacturing and intercompany business scenarios. You will collaborate closely with finance stakeholders and cross-functional SAP teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and efficient controlling solutions. This is a client-facing position requiring strong communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into robust SAP designs. The environment is international, fast-paced, and project-driven, offering strong exposure to diverse industries and complex ERP landscapes.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP CO solutions across key areas including Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
- Work extensively on Material Ledger processes, ensuring accurate valuation, reconciliation, and financial reporting within S/4HANA environments.
- Support and optimize complex controlling scenarios including intercompany transactions, cost allocation, and margin reporting structures.
- Participate in multiple end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, contributing to solution design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and deliver scalable SAP CO solutions.
- Provide client-facing consulting support, including presentations, workshops, and ongoing advisory on SAP Controlling best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP CO module with strong expertise in enterprise-level implementations.
- Proven experience in Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, and Margin Analysis (CO-PA).
- Strong working knowledge of Material Ledger and its application in S/4HANA environments.
- Experience delivering multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation projects from design to go-live.
- Exposure to intercompany accounting scenarios and financial reporting structures in complex organizations.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a consultative mindset.
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
