JD- SAP Commodity Management & Configuration

Configure and support SAP Commodity Management (CM) processes, including commodity pricing, contracts, settlements, and exposure management

Maintain and optimize SAP master data related to commodities, pricing formulas, and market data

Support integration between SAP CM and related modules (MM, SD, FI, CO, TRM, and Logistics)

Business Process Support

Collaborate with procurement, finance, and trading teams to understand commodity-related business requirements

Translate business needs into SAP CM functional solutions

Provide day-to-day operational support and troubleshooting for commodity management processes

Risk & Pricing Management

Support commodity price risk management processes, including mark-to-market, valuation, and exposure reporting

Ensure accurate pricing, settlement, and financial posting of commodity transactions

Assist with compliance, audit, and internal controls related to commodity trading and pricing

Reporting & Data Analysis

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards related to commodity pricing, exposure, and performance

Ensure data accuracy and consistency across SAP systems

Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to commodities

Projects & Continuous Improvement

Participate in SAP implementation, upgrade, or enhancement projects

Support testing (unit, integration, UAT) and documentation of SAP CM solutions

Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

Experience

6+ years of experience working with SAP Commodity Management or related SAP modules

Hands-on experience with SAP MM, FI/CO, or Treasury & Risk Management is highly desirable

Experience in commodity-driven industries (energy, metals, agriculture, chemicals, manufacturing) is a plus

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of SAP Commodity Management processes and configuration

Knowledge of commodity pricing formulas, settlements, and valuation concepts

Experience with SAP reporting tools (e.g., SAP Query, BW, or embedded analytics)

Familiarity with integration points between SAP modules

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong documentation and organizational skills
