Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled SAP CAP+BTP Developer to design, develop, and deploy innovative cloud-native applications and extensions. This role is crucial for leveraging the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) to build scalable and robust solutions, ensuring smooth operations, and significantly contributing to business objectives through expert analysis, development, implementation, and troubleshooting within the SAP CAP+BTP domain.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Cloud Application Development: Design, develop, and implement full-stack cloud applications and extensions using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), leveraging Node.js or Java for backend services.
- SAP BTP Service Utilization: Work extensively with various services on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including SAP HANA Cloud for database persistence, Cloud Foundry environment, Application Router, Destination Service, Connectivity Service, and Identity Authentication Service.
- CDS Data Modeling: Define and model data structures using Core Data Services (CDS) for application persistence and service exposure.
- UI Development (Fiori/UI5): Develop intuitive user interfaces for CAP applications using SAP Fiori Elements, SAP UI5, or other relevant front-end technologies.
- Integration: Implement secure and reliable integrations between CAP applications on BTP and other SAP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur) and non-SAP systems using OData, REST APIs, and event-based architectures.
- Deployment & Operations: Deploy and manage applications on SAP BTP, utilizing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., SAP CI/CD Service, Jenkins) and monitoring tools to ensure smooth operations.
- Security Implementation: Implement security best practices within CAP applications and BTP services, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
- Troubleshooting: Perform in-depth troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution for CAP applications and BTP service connectivity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with solution architects, functional consultants, and other developers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- SAP CAP Expertise: Strong hands-on development experience with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).
- SAP BTP Platform Knowledge: Proven experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, specifically Cloud Foundry and SAP HANA Cloud.
- Programming Skills: Proficient in Node.js or Java for backend development.
- CDS & OData: Solid understanding of Core Data Services (CDS) for data modeling and service definition, and experience with OData protocols.
- UI Development (Plus): Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 or modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Integration Concepts: Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and experience integrating with SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Cloud Development Practices: Understanding of cloud-native development principles, microservices, and API-first approaches.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical solutions and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline. Relevant SAP BTP or CAP certifications are a strong plus.
