SDK Developer Lead SAP Cloud for Customer Application
The SDK Developer Lead is responsible for defining, designing, and delivering custom development solutions for an SAP cloud for customer application used by approximately 4,700 users globally across three business divisions and integrated with three ERP back-end systems. This role provides technical leadership for SDK-based development, working closely with product owners, functional analysts, architects, and integration teams to identify use cases, enable extensibility, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of SDK-based extensions, customizations, and integrations for the SAP cloud customer application.
- Partner with business and functional teams to identify development opportunities, translate requirements into technical designs, and define feasible SDK use cases.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight for a development team, including design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring.
- Establish and enforce development standards, best coding practices, and secure development guidelines.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, performant, and aligned with SAP cloud architecture and enterprise standards.
- Oversee the full development lifecycle, including estimation, development, testing support, deployment, and post-release support.
- Collaborate with QA, functional analysts, and operations teams to support testing, releases, and upgrades.
- Manage technical risks related to SAP cloud releases, SDK updates, and dependency changes.
- Maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and developer guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience developing with SAP SDKs and cloud-based extensibility frameworks.
- Experience leading or mentoring development teams in an enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of ERP-integrated system landscapes and API-based integrations.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and cloud-native development principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
