Job Description SAP BW Support

Role Overview

We are looking for an SAP BW Support resource to support Massmart Data platforms. The role involves production support, monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting in a BW on HANA landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Application support and maintenance for SAP BW 7.5 on HANA and BW/4HANA (mandatory)

Monitor and support BW Process Chains and SAP BODS/Data Services jobs

Analyse and fix data load, reporting, and performance-related issues

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide permanent fixes

Support incident, problem, change, and defect management processes

Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders and provide regular status/reporting

Participate in 24x7 shift-based production support as part of rotation

Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with:

SAP BW on HANA (Must have)

BW/4HANA (Must have)

SAP BODS / Data Services (Good to have)

SAP ABAP (Good to have)

Experience with:

Process Chains, Data Sources, InfoProviders, Open Hub

Query development, Calculated/Restricted Key Figures, Variables

Data loads, compression, and performance tuning

Exposure to S/4 HANA, CDS Views, and Virtual Data Models is preferred

Experience & Qualification

4+ years of relevant experience in SAP BW/BW4HANA support projects

Graduate/Postgraduate in Computer Science or related discipline

Strong verbal and written communication skills
