Key Responsibilities
Data Modeling & Development
- Develop InfoObjects, DSO/ADSO, InfoCubes, Composite Providers, and MultiProviders.
- Build BW data models aligned to business requirements.
- Work on Open Hub, DataSources, and Source System connections.
ETL & Data Extraction
- Extract data using SAP ECC / S/4HANA DataSources, Generic Extractors, Function Module Extractors, BADI enhancements.
- Work on SLT, ODP, SDA, SDI, and HANA Views for BW on HANA scenarios.
HANA Optimization
- Create and optimize Calculation Views, Attribute Views, SQL Scripts.
- Use pushdown techniques and HANA-based transformations.
Reporting
- Build reports via BEx Query Designer, Analysis for Office, SAC (good to have).
- Work closely with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, PP, HR, etc.) to deliver business insights.
Performance & Support
- Manage BW loads, process chains, monitoring & troubleshooting.
- Optimize data flows, reduce runtime, resolve failures, and ensure SLAs.
Upgrades & BW/4HANA
- Support BW migrations to BW/4HANA.
- Work on Eclipse BW Modeling Tools (BW-MT), HANA Studio, SAP GUI.
