SAP BW Application Support Consultant

Role summary 

Support SAP BW data loads, process chains, reporting and production issues. 

Must-have skills 

• SAP BW extraction and data modelling 
• DSO/ADSO, transformations and routines 
• Process-chain monitoring and troubleshooting 
• BEx and Analysis for Office 
• BW-ABAP, performance and query optimization 

Key responsibilities 

• Resolve data-load and reporting incidents 
• Support process chains and transformations 
• Investigate source-data and reconciliation issues 
• Optimize reports and queries 
• Support releases, testing and documentation 

Project-specific requirements 

• Hands-on L2/L3 production support experience and ability to independently diagnose incidents from day one. 
• Willingness to work in the assigned IST/EST-aligned support shift and participate in the defined P1 on-call rotation. 
• Strong written and verbal communication with business users, HMH Service Desk, NOC/ProdOps, retained technical teams and product vendors. 
• Ability to create and maintain runbooks, KEDB articles, RCA records and transition documentation. 
• Experience estimating minor changes, supporting testing and validating production releases. 
• Availability for critical batch/load windows and priority reporting incidents. 

Ability to coordinate with SAP source teams, integration teams and business reporting owners
