We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Objects (BO) Consultant with 5 to 7 years of expertise in designing, developing, and supporting Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using the SAP BO suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization, universe design, report development, and integration with SAP and non-SAP data sources to deliver meaningful business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop BO reports and dashboards using Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and BO Dashboards (Xcelsius).
- Create and maintain universes (IDT/UDT) for semantic layer modeling.
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and BI solutions.
- Integrate BO reports with SAP BW, SAP HANA, or other backend systems.
- Optimize BO reports for performance and maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- Work with business users to provide ad hoc query support and training.
- Perform data validation, unit testing, and support UAT and production deployments.
- Manage BO security, user access, and folder structure in the Central Management Console (CMC).
- Provide production support, issue resolution, and enhancements as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 57 years of experience in SAP Business Objects (WebI, Crystal Reports, IDT/UDT, CMC).
- Strong knowledge of universe design, data modeling, and relational databases (SQL).
- Hands-on experience with report development from SAP and non-SAP data sources.
- Experience in performance tuning, report optimization, and data validation.
- Good understanding of BI lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design, development, and deployment.
- Familiarity with BO administration tasks (user management, security, scheduling).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Experience integrating BO with SAP BW, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, or other ERP systems.
- Exposure to BI tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, or Tableau.
- Basic understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- SAP BO certification is a plus.
