SAP Business AI & Joule Lead

Mission

Make us the obvious partner for SAP-led AI transformation by shaping, leading, and delivering high-value assignments around SAP Business AI, Joule, Joule Studio, and SAP BTP AI capabilities.

Turn customer ambiguity into credible AI use cases, clear solution options, governed execution plans, and repeatable delivery plays while building the team, playbooks, and delivery muscle needed to scale this as a capability.

Role Summary

We are looking for a senior leader who can sit at the intersection of SAP process understanding, BTP architecture, enterprise AI, and customer-facing delivery.

This is not a pure SAP functional role.

This is not a generic GenAI strategy role either.

This role is for someone who can identify where SAP-native AI actually makes sense, shape the right solution approach, lead customer conversations with credibility, and build a strong cross-functional team to deliver SAP AI initiatives from discovery through execution.

You will work across areas such as Joule, Joule Studio, SAP Business AI, SAP Build, SAP BTP, workflow automation, enterprise extensions, and AI-enabled process transformation.

What You'll Own

• Lead SAP AI and Joule-related customer assignments from early discovery to delivery shaping
• Identify and qualify enterprise use cases for SAP Business AI, Joule skills, agents, and AI-enabled workflows
• Translate business process pain points into credible SAP-native AI solution options
• Shape solution architecture across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, Joule, integrations, workflows, data context, and governance
• Drive customer workshops, use case prioritisation, roadmap discussions, and pilot framing
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, SAP functional teams, platform architects, and AI engineers
• Build repeatable offerings, delivery playbooks, estimation logic, accelerators, and demo assets
• Define the right team structure for each engagement and help mentor the capability internally
• Ensure we do not confuse automation, analytics, workflows, and agentic AI and choose the right pattern for the right problem
• Contribute to pre-sales, solutioning, proposal shaping, and thought leadership in the SAP AI space
  
  

What You'll Do

• Run discovery and advisory sessions with enterprise stakeholders across functions such as finance, procurement, supply chain, HR, service, and sales
• Assess where embedded SAP AI is sufficient and where custom extensions, skills, or agents are needed
• Shape end-to-end solution options using SAP Business AI, Joule, Joule Studio, SAP Build, and SAP BTP
• Work with technical teams to translate architecture into delivery-ready plans
• Partner with functional consultants to ensure AI use cases are grounded in real business process context
• Work with engineering teams on orchestration, APIs, enterprise integrations, guardrails, and fallback patterns
• Bring structure to ambiguous transformation asks and avoid AI theatre
• Help define how our SAP AI capability should evolve as a team, offering, and go-to-market play

Must-Have Experience

• 5-8 years of experience across SAP solutioning, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or SAP-led consulting
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP and SAP extensibility patterns
• Good working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA process landscapes in at least one or two domains
• Experience leading enterprise customer conversations, workshops, and solution shaping
• Exposure to AI, automation, copilots, or intelligent workflow design in enterprise environments
• Ability to work across business stakeholders, architects, delivery teams, and leadership
• Strong written and verbal communication with a consulting mindset
  
  

Strongly Preferred

• Experience with SAP Business AI, Joule, Joule Studio, SAP Build, workflow automation, or AI services on SAP BTP
• Exposure to enterprise GenAI patterns such as orchestration, grounding, guardrails, evaluations, and human-in-the-loop design
• Experience working across SAP and non-SAP integrations
• Experience in building reusable offerings, accelerators, and capability playbooks
• Comfort working in pre-sales, pursuits, proposals, and transformation framing

• A purely functional SAP consultant with no interest in AI or platform thinking
• A generic AI strategist without SAP process and platform depth
• A pure data scientist disconnected from enterprise delivery reality
• Someone who treats every workflow problem as an LLM problem
