Role Description

This is a full-time role for a SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Lead / Manager. The selected candidate will oversee end-to-end SAP BTP project implementation, guide and mentor team members, engage in strategic consultation, and ensure successful delivery of client projects.

The Lead SAP BTP Techno-Functional Consultant is responsible for thedesign, development, and deploymentof secure, intelligent applications on the SAP Business Technology Platform.This role acts as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, orchestrating the transformation from traditional customizations toside-by-side extensions.You will lead a team of technical specialists to deliver upgrade-safe solutions aligned withSAP's Clean Core principles, leveraging SAP Build, SAP AI Core, and Build Process Automation.

• Methodology Guidance:Lead the team in choosing appropriate extension methodologies (e.g., key user extensibility, on-stack developer extensibility, or side-by-side extensions).
• Clean Core Advocacy:Collaborate with functional consultants and business owners to upholdClean Core principles, ensuring all S/4HANA integrations use only stable, releasedpublic APIs and events.
• Quality Assurance:Perform and overseepeer reviewsof code, workflows, and integration artifacts to ensure compliance with security and performance standards.
• Architecture & CI/CD:Design and maintainCI/CD pipelinesfor smooth application deployment using tools like SAP Cloud Transport Management, Jenkins, or GitHub.

• Full-Stack Development:Design extensions using theCloud Application Programming Model (CAP)(Node.js/Java) andABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• UI/UX Design:Create intuitive interfaces usingFiori Elementsand SAP Build Apps.
• AI Integration:Integrate generative AI models throughSAP AI Coreand enforce responsible AI practices (prompt management, data grounding).
• Prototyping:Develop technicalProofs of Concept (PoC)to verify emerging BTP services and architectural strategies.

• Mentorship:Share knowledge and recommended practices for BTP development with the broader SAP CoE team.
• Project Oversight:Work withinAgile/Scrumframeworks, utilizing Jira or Azure DevOps to manage the development lifecycle.
• Communication:Act as a primary point of contact to explain complex technical benefits and BTP strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Core Technical Skills:
• Proven expertise inCAPM(Node.js/Java) andSAPUI5/Fiori Elements.
• Deep experience inABAP on HANA, AMDP, and CDS views.
• Strong knowledge ofSAP Integration Suiteand SAP Event Mesh.
• Platform Knowledge:Hands-on experience withCloud Foundryand/orKymaruntimes.
• Emerging Tech:Proficiency inSAP Build Process AutomationandSAP AI Core/Launchpad
• Soft Skills:Self-starter with a passion for high-quality, sustainable solutions and the flexibility to contribute as both a leader and an individual contributor.

Desired:Official SAP BTP Developer Certification and familiarity with hyper-scaler environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
