You will be responsible for fostering a culture of Modern SAPmoving away from legacy mindsets toward a cloud-first, AI-augmented, and highly integrated ecosystem.
You will be a leader representing Mindset in the Indian SAP Industry as a visionary for BTP and a thought leader.
Core Pillar 1: Innovation & Technology Passion
- Technological Evangelism: You don't just follow the roadmap; you stay ahead of it. You will evaluate emerging BTP services (like SAP Build, Joule/GenAI, and Kyma) and determine how they can solve real-world business problems.
- Rapid Prototyping: Lead Innovation Sprints and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate the Art of the Possible to customers, moving from PowerPoint to tangible prototypes quickly.
- Clean Core Philosophy: Be the primary advocate for a Clean Core strategy, pushing the boundaries of side-by-side extensibility and modernizing legacy landscapes.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain an active presence in the SAP Community (Blogs, TechEd, Mentorship) and bring that external knowledge back to the internal team.
Core Pillar 2: Strategic Solution Architecture
- Trusted Advisor: Conduct high-stakes architecture workshops with global customers, translating complex business requirements into scalable, resilient BTP architectures.
- Holistic Design: Design end-to-end solutions that harmonize SAP BTP with Hyperscalers (AWS/Azure/GCP), ensuring seamless data flow, security, and performance.
- Governance & Standards: Establish the architectural North Star for the organization, defining development standards, CI/CD pipelines, and security protocols.
Core Pillar 3: Coaching & People Leadership (Global CoE)
- Mentorship at Scale: You will be the Coach-in-Chief for a high-performing team in India, moving them beyond ticket-taking to solution-designing.
- Building a Community of Practice: Create and drive internal forums, Lunch & Learn sessions, and hackathons to spark curiosity and technical pride within the team.
- Upskilling Strategy: Identify skill gaps and design learning paths for junior and mid-level architects to ensure the India team remains a global center of excellence.
- Cultural Bridge: Act as the technical voice of the India team in global forums, ensuring local innovations are recognized and scaled globally.
The Mindset Catalyst: Innovation & Mentorship
- The Innovation Engine: We are looking for an architect who treats SAP BTP as a canvas, not just a toolkit. You possess an innate tinkerer mindsetstaying up late to explore a new API, contributing to open-source projects, or blogging about the latest Joule integration. You will lead our internal Innovation Lab in India, turning abstract ideas into tangible Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that wow our global clients.
- Cultivating Excellence in India: Your role is pivotal in transforming our India delivery center into a Global Hub of Architectural Excellence. You won't just delegate tasks; you will coach, pair-program, and inspire. You will be responsible for shifting the mindset of our local teams from technical execution to solution ownership, fostering a culture where every developer thinks like an architect.
- Community & Thought Leadership: You will be the face of Mindset's technical prowess. Whether it's speaking at SAP TechEd, hosting AppHaus-style design sessions, or mentoring the team through the complexities of CAP and RAP, your passion will be the tide that lifts all boats.
What You Bring (The Profile)
Experience: 15+ years in SAP consulting/architecture, with at least 5+ years of dedicated focus on SAP BTP (formerly SAP Cloud Platform).
Proven Track Record: Experience leading at least 3-6 SAP BTP transformations.
Deep Technical Stack:
- Expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite and Extension Suite (SAP Build).
- Strong command of Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud and DevOps on BTP.
- Experience with SAP BDC is preferred but not required.
Cloud Native Mindset: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (Kyma), and how SAP BTP interacts with hyperscaler services.
Consulting DNA: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain The Why behind architectural choices to both developers and CEOs.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
