We are seeking an SAP BTP-CPI Professional with extensive experience in the SAP middleware integration area, specifically with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI). The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in architecture and solution design, including the analysis of integration requirements, and experience with migrating PI/PO interfaces to SAP BTP Integration Suite. You will be able to support and influence SAP integration, API, and data flow architectures with an API-first approach, and identify performance optimization opportunities. Deep understanding of SAP functional areas and overall SAP architecture is essential, alongside a strong command of designing and implementing complex integration scenarios using various patterns and protocols, including pre-packaged content.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Solution Design:
- Analyze integration requirements for IT solutions, collaborating with internal customers and IT colleagues.
- Possess experience with migrating PI/PO interfaces to SAP BTP Integration Suite using assessment reports from the SAP BTP Migration Assessment Tool.
- Support & influence SAP integration, API, and data flow architectures, considering an API-first approach.
- Identify processing and performance optimization opportunities.
- Proactively evaluate new SAP features in Integration Suite, such as Integration Advisor and Trading Partner Management.
- Understand SAP functional areas and overall SAP architecture.
- Subject Matter Expertise in SAP Integration:
- Demonstrate strong expertise in designing and implementing complex integration scenarios, including various integration patterns and protocols using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI).
- Deep understanding and effective use of pre-packaged integration content.
- Proven expertise in developing Enterprise-Grade, robust Iflows for SAP and non-SAP systems in A2A and B2B for both asynchronous and synchronous communication.
- Proficiency in implementing Integration patterns like Content-based routing, Scatter-Gather, and Splitter.
- Expertise in Integration scenarios using different adapters such as HTTP, IDOC, JDBC, File, SOAP, Rest, Odata, Graph, etc.
- Expertise in using various kinds of mapping such as message mapping, XLST mapping, and mapping using groovy scripts.
- Expertise in exception handling mechanisms for Integration flows.
- Deep understanding of Quality of service concepts such as Guaranteed Delivery, retry mechanism, Idempotent Receiver, and so on.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, ensuring the stability and performance of integration solutions.
- Proficiency in integration message monitoring and logging.
- Good understanding of Adapter inbound and outbound security configurations.
- Usage of Transport management system in Integration Suite.
- Expertise in Groovy scripts.
- API Management:
- Experience with IS-API management, including topics like creating API providers, APIs, policies, and API Products.
- In-depth understanding of API Authorization and Authentication, access control, and other policies.
- Experience with implementing event-driven integrations using Event Mesh technology.
- Knowledge on Integration Advisor, Integration Advisory methodology, and trading partner management.
- Project Leadership & Mentorship (Preferred):
- Experience in leading upgrade and migration projects with a focus on SAP Cloud Integration.
- Comfortable in creating an integration design blueprint for complex projects.
- Experience with leading teams is a plus.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in SAP middleware integration area, including at least 5 years in SAP Integration Suite (CPI).
- Experience in at least 8 to 10 Integration Implementation projects using SAP Integration Suite.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing complex integration scenarios using SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Proficiency in various integration patterns and protocols.
- Deep understanding of pre-packaged integration content.
- Proven expertise in developing robust Iflows for SAP and non-SAP systems (A2A, B2B, async/sync).
- Expertise in implementing integration patterns like Content-based routing, Scatter-Gather, Splitter.
- Expertise with various adapters: HTTP, IDOC, JDBC, File, SOAP, Rest, Odata, Graph, etc.
