Role Overview
As an SAP BTP/CPI Consultant, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing robust integration solutions that connect disparate systems and applications within complex enterprise landscapes. This role involves close collaboration with clients, functional consultants, and technical teams to translate intricate business requirements into scalable and efficient integration architectures. Your contributions will directly impact the seamless flow of critical business data, ensuring system interoperability and driving the successful adoption of advanced SAP technologies for our clients, ultimately enhancing their operational agility and competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) to meet client business requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and functional teams to meticulously gather, analyze, and document integration requirements for various SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Perform detailed technical analysis, design, and documentation of integration flows (iFlows), ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
- Configure and manage adapters, security artifacts, and message mappings within SAP CPI to facilitate secure and efficient data exchange.
- Implement API management strategies and develop custom applications on SAP BTP to extend SAP functionalities and create innovative solutions.
- Conduct thorough unit testing, integration testing, and provide expert support during user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality and reliability.
- Provide post-go-live support, troubleshoot complex integration issues, and optimize existing solutions for performance and scalability, ensuring continuous operational excellence.
- Stay abreast of the latest SAP BTP and CPI features, functionalities, and industry best practices to continuously enhance solution offerings and personal expertise.
- Mentor junior team members, share knowledge, and contribute to the development of internal capabilities within the SAP integration practice.
Required Skillset
- Extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI/HCI) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Proficiency in creating and managing iFlows, message mappings (XSLT, graphical), and various adapters (SFTP, SOAP, REST, JDBC, OData, IDoc, RFC) within SAP CPI.
- Strong understanding of different integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, publish-subscribe) and their application in enterprise scenarios.
- Demonstrated ability in API Management, OData services, and working with REST/SOAP protocols for system connectivity.
- Solid knowledge of security concepts in SAP CPI/BTP, including certificate management, OAuth, basic authentication, and secure data handling.
- Familiarity with integrating SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and other SAP modules (e.g., SuccessFactors, Ariba, C4C) with external systems.
- Experience with Groovy/JavaScript for custom scripting and logic implementation within CPI iFlows.
- Understanding of cloud-native development principles on BTP, including concepts like CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), Kyma runtime, and Cloud Foundry environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills to diagnose and resolve complex integration challenges.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-facing environment in Kolkata, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to project delivery.
