Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Consultant – SAP BTP / SAP Cloud Admin to join our ERP Platform team. In this critical role, you will partner with business stakeholders, architects, and Managed Services (AMS) providers to ensure optimal operations of SAP Cloud solutions and the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

You will be responsible for the administration, governance, security, cost optimization, and operational stability of the SAP BTP environment. The role will serve as a primary technical contact supporting SAP BTP developers, integration teams, architects, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer SAP BTP Global Accounts and cloud-based SAP solutions, ensuring optimal technical setup and configuration.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support proof-of-concept initiatives and deliver measurable platform outcomes.
• Monitor enterprise cloud usage and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Monitor logs, service instances, quotas, and ERP platform alerts.
• Forecast cloud expenditures and optimize BTP entitlements and resource utilization.
• Partner with ERP Platform Architects to establish BTP standards, governance, and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture and global SAP design principles.
• Ensure platform changes and enhancements comply with quality, security, and regulatory requirements, including GxP and SOX where applicable.
• Provide operational support for SAP BTP and SAP Cloud solutions.
• Act as a primary technical point of contact for platform-related incidents and technical queries.
• Maintain secure configuration of BTP environments and enforce enterprise security standards.
• Support SAP BTP production environments, including monitoring, logging, alerting, incident management, usage analysis, and platform optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience implementing and managing SAP BTP and cloud-based SAP solutions in global ERP environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Cloud Architecture, including:
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• SAP BTP Cloud solutions such as Signavio, LeanIX, and Cloud ALM
• Hands-on experience supporting cloud infrastructure for SAP solutions such as:
• SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
• SAP Commerce Cloud / Hybris
• SAP Ariba
• SAP Concur
• SAP Work Manager
• Business Network for Logistics

SAP BTP Administration

• Proven experience administering SAP BTP accounts, including:
• Global Accounts
• Directories
• Subaccounts
• Entitlements
• Quotas
• Subscriptions
• Experience managing multi-environment landscapes across Dev / Test / Production.
• Strong understanding of SAP BTP security and identity configuration, including:
• SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
• Enterprise Identity Provider integration
• Role Collections
• Authorization assignments
• Least-privilege access

Connectivity & Integration

Hands-on experience configuring secure connectivity between SAP BTP and external systems, including:

• SAP Cloud Connector
• BTP Connectivity Service
• Destinations
• Certificates
• Principal Propagation

Core SAP BTP Services

Experience administering and supporting core SAP BTP services such as:

• SAP Integration Suite
• SAP HANA Cloud
• SAP Process Automation
• Service lifecycle management
• BTP subscriptions

BTP Runtime & Production Support

• Working knowledge of SAP BTP runtimes and environments, including Cloud Foundry and/or Kyma.
• Ability to support application deployments, runtime monitoring, and resource management.
• Experience operating SAP BTP in production environments.
• Strong understanding of logging, alerting, incident support, usage analysis, and cost/entitlement optimization.

Platform Governance

• Experience implementing platform governance and enterprise standards.
• Knowledge of:
• Landscape segregation
• Naming conventions
• Transport strategies
• Clean Core principles
• SAP S/4HANA extensibility principles
• Ability to maintain clear technical documentation and operational runbooks.
