SAP BTP - Automation Pilot Engineer

We are Hiring for SAP BTP - Automation Pilot Engineer 

Experience: 4-5 years (LinkedIn must required )

Location: Remote 

Position Overview: 

● We are looking for an experienced SAP Automation Pilot Engineer to design and 

implement automated 

● operational workflows on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The candidate will 

focus on reducing 

● manual effort through event-driven automation, scheduled runbooks, and 

auto-remediation, helping teams 

● maintain system stability and uptime with minimal human intervention. This role is 

focused on the SAP 

● Automation Pilot tool for DevOps/BTP Ops, not SAP Build Process Automation (SBPA) 

or RPA. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Build and manage automation runbooks using SAP Automation Pilot for operational 

tasks such as service restarts, health checks, log collection, and cache clearing 

2. Integrate automation workflows with SAP Alert Notification Service for event-triggered 

execution 

3. Develop scheduled and on-demand automation procedures for routine SAP BTP 

maintenance 

4. Work with DevOps and Cloud Operations teams to identify and automate repetitive 

manual tasks 

5. Monitor automation executions, handle failures, and improve runbook reliability over time 

6. Maintain documentation for automation workflows, triggers, and operational procedures 

Required Skills: 

1. 4–5 years of experience in SAP BTP operations or cloud infrastructure 

2. Hands-on experience with SAP Automation Pilot runbooks, commands, and scheduled 

executions 

3. Good understanding of SAP BTP architecture and services 

4. Experience with REST API integrations and SAP BTP service connectivity 

5. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 

6. Good communication and remote collaboration skills 

7. Preferred (Bonus) Skills: 

• Exposure to SAP Cloud ALM or SAP operations monitoring tools 
• Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript or similar) 
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines 
• Awareness of the broader SAP Build portfolio owners to streamline operations and improve efficiency through intelligent automation. 

Key Responsibilities: 

● Lead the SAP automation pilot program for identified business processes 

● Analyze existing SAP workflows and identify automation opportunities 

● Design and implement process automation solutions across SAP modules 

● Build proof of concepts (POCs), pilot bots, and automation workflows 

● Work with business stakeholders to define automation scope, KPIs, and success metrics 

● Integrate automation solutions with SAP ECC / S4HANA environments 

● Support UAT, deployment, and hypercare during pilot rollout 

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process optimization and automation roadmap 

● Ensure proper documentation, governance, and transition support 

● Recommend scale-up opportunities post successful pilot completion 

● Required Skills: 

1. Strong experience in SAP Automation Pilot / SAP Process Automation initiatives 
2. Hands-on expertise in SAP Intelligent RPA / SAP Build Process Automation 
3. Experience with workflow automation, bot orchestration, and attended/unattended automation 
4. Strong understanding of SAP business processes 
5. Experience with test automation for SAP applications 
6. Knowledge of API integrations, RFC/BAPI, IDocs, and SAP connectors 
7. Exposure to process mining and automation discovery tools 
8. Strong stakeholder communication and remote collaboration skills 
9. 4–5 Years of experience 

Preferred (Bonus) Skills: 

1. Experience with UiPath / Automation Anywhere / Blue Prism integrated with SAP 

2. Exposure to SAP S/4HANA transformation programs 

3. Knowledge of AI-assisted process automation 

4. Experience in OCR, document workflows, invoice automation, or approval automation 

5. Familiarity with Power Automate or low-code workflow platforms 

6. Basic knowledge of GenAI-enabled enterprise automation use cases
