SAP Business Planning and Consolidation BPC resources with embedded and Classic

functionalities represent two distinct yet complementary approaches to financial planning budgeting and consolidation BPC Standard acts as a data mart designed for ease of use by lines of business LOB to own and manage their planning models independently Conversely BPC Embedded integrates deeply with SAP BW Business Warehouse or S4HANA to provide realtime planning leveraging existing BW master data and hierarchies without requiring data duplication

BPC Standard Roles Responsibilities

BPC Standard offers a sandbox approach where LOB users have ownership of their master data and transactional data

Data Model Uses Generated Info Objects and Info Cubes CPMB namespace that are hidden from the user relying on CATE models Category Account Time Entity

Responsibilities

Modeling Business users can create and manage dimensions member management and models directly via the BPC Web interface

BPC Embedded is designed for high-performance Realtime planning particularly suited for environments with existing high quality BW data
