About the role:

We are looking for an experienced SAP IS-U Billing & Rates Consultant to support large-scale digital transformation programs for utility clients. The role involves designing, configuring, and implementing SAP IS-U Billing and Rate Determination solutions aligned with regulatory requirements and evolving business models. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver end-to-end SAP IS-U implementations and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and implement SAP IS-U Billing and Rate Determination solutions for utility clients
• Analyse utility billing requirements including complex rate structures, tariff models, and regulatory compliance
• Lead end-to-end billing processes from meter reading and consumption calculation to invoicing
• Configure and manage:
  • Rate categories, rate types, and rate schemas
  • Operand values, validity periods, and pricing rules
• Support integration with related IS-U modules such as Device Management, FICA, Customer Service, and FI
• Participate in SAP S/4HANA Utilities transformation and migration initiatives
• Conduct requirement workshops, prepare functional specifications, and support development and testing
• Drive UAT, defect resolution, go-live, and post-production support
• Provide advisory support on best practices, process optimization, and future-ready billing models

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-10 years of experience in SAP IS-U Billing & Rates within the utilities domain
• Strong hands-on experience in:

1. SAP IS-U Billing configuration
2. Rate determination and tariff design
3. Billing schema and variant configuration

• Experience working on end-to-end SAP IS-U implementation or rollout projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, or related field
• SAP IS-U certification is an added advantage
• MBA (Mandatory)
