SAP Basis with SAP Infrastructure Consultant

Role & Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems across landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PO, Solution Manager, etc.).
• Manage SAP Basis administration activities including system monitoring, performance tuning, transport management, and user administration.
• Support SAP database administration tasks across HANA, Oracle, MSSQL, or other supported databases.
• Ensure high availability of SAP systems through proactive health checks, capacity planning, and system optimization.
• Handle SAP kernel upgrades, patching, OSS note implementation, and SP updates.
• Manage SAP infrastructure on on-premise, cloud, or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems across SAP applications and databases.
• Oversee system refreshes, client copies, backups, restore operations, and disaster recovery drills.
• Work closely with functional, security, and development teams to support integration and cross-module dependencies.
• Ensure compliance with SAP security standards, user roles, authorizations, and audit requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation for system configurations, operations, and infrastructure architecture.
• Provide support during go-live activities, migrations, and project cutovers.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP system management, and SAP infrastructure operations.
• Working knowledge of SAP HANA database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery procedures.
• Familiarity with cloud-based SAP deployments, including sizing, provisioning, and monitoring on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Good understanding of SAP Solution Manager functionalities (ChaRM, Monitoring, EWA, Diagnostics).
• Experience supporting integration with third-party tools, PI/PO, and Web Dispatcher.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for system/performance issues.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation capabilities.
