Job Description – SAP BASIS S/4HANA Consultant (8–10 Years Experience)

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS S/4HANA Consultant with strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, upgrade, administration, and production support activities. The candidate will be responsible for managing SAP landscapes, ensuring system availability, performance optimization, and successful delivery of SAP technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer SAP S/4HANA systems across DEV, QAS, and Production landscapes
• Provide technical expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, conversion, and upgrade projects
• Perform SAP system installation, configuration, and maintenance activities
• Handle SAP system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Execute SAP kernel upgrades, support pack upgrades, patches, and version upgrades
• Manage SAP transports using STMS and ensure smooth movement across landscapes
• Perform SAP system refresh, client copy, and post-refresh configuration activities
• Manage SAP application servers, profiles, instances, and system parameters
• Perform SAP user administration:
• User creation and maintenance
• Role assignment and authorization troubleshooting
• Access management activities
• Monitor and troubleshoot:
• Background jobs
• Dumps (ST22)
• Locks (SM12)
• System logs (SM21)
• Performance issues (ST03N / ST02)
• Perform SAP HANA database administration activities:
• HANA monitoring
• Backup and recovery
• Space management
• Performance monitoring
• Support SAP interfaces, RFC connections, and system integrations
• Implement SAP OSS Notes and SAP security recommendations
• Work closely with SAP functional, ABAP, infrastructure, and business teams
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Prepare technical documentation and operational runbooks

• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
