Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Engineer to join the offshore infrastructure team at the Kochi Digital Factory. This role is responsible for the administration, performance monitoring, and operational stability of our clients SAP landscape. The engineer will work closely with the onshore IT Infrastructure team in the UAE and will be central to establishing 24/7 Basis coverage across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor SAP application servers, databases, and related infrastructure
- Manage SAP system landscapes including DEV, QA, and PROD environments
- Perform SAP kernel upgrades, support pack applications, and system refreshes
- Manage user administration, roles, and authorizations across SAP systems
- Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks and issues
- Manage transport management system (TMS) and change management processes
- Respond to and resolve Basis-related incidents and service requests within SLA
- Support SAP system copies, client copies, and data migrations
- Maintain SAP system documentation and operational runbooks
- Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams on patching, backups, and DR processes
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of SAP Basis administration experience
- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, ABAP and Java stacks
- Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA system administration
