Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced
SAP BASIS Consultant with strong expertise in
SAP upgrades, database migrations, and RISE with SAP transformation initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for supporting technical activities related to
ECC upgrades, S/4HANA conversions, data center migrations, and cloud transformations.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with
system conversions, downtime optimization strategies, SAP HANA administration, and infrastructure readiness planning, along with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams during large-scale SAP transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform SAP ECC EHP upgrades and S/4HANA system conversions.
- Execute Brownfield system conversion projects from ECC to S/4HANA.
- Support SAP system migration and relocation across data centers.
- Perform Unicode conversions where applicable.
- Execute homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies during system relocation.
- Plan and ensure infrastructure readiness, including network, firewall, storage, and DNS requirements.
- Configure and support high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments.
- Conduct DR drills and failover testing to ensure system resilience.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, network, and security teams during migration and upgrade activities.
- Support technical activities related to RISE with SAP transformations.
- Prepare systems for hyperscaler migrations (Azure, AWS, GCP) under RISE programs.
- Perform system provisioning in SAP-managed cloud landscapes.
- Integrate monitoring with SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager.
- Support technical onboarding to RISE landscapes and validate connectivity (Cloud Connector, RFCs, CPI integrations).
- Assist with Private Cloud Edition (PCE) migration activities and ensure compliance with SAP operational standards.
Experience Required
- 46 years of experience in SAP BASIS administration.
- Hands-on experience supporting SAP upgrade, migration, and transformation projects.
- Experience working with SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
Must Have Skills
- Strong experience in SAP BASIS administration.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SUM (Software Update Manager)
- DMO (Database Migration Option)
- DMOVE2S4
- SWPM (Software Provisioning Manager)
- Downtime Optimized Upgrade and Conversion
- Experience with SAP HANA administration.
- Experience in:
- ECC to S/4HANA conversions
- Downtime optimized migrations
- Data center relocation
- SAP upgrade and migration projects
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments.
- Experience working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Good to Have Skills
- Experience working on RISE with SAP transformation projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or SAP Solution Manager monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting Private Cloud Edition (PCE) migrations.
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector and CPI integrations.
