JOB Description:
MUST HAVE:
- SAP Basis administration and technical core tasks including SAP software installation, upgrade, applying Support Packages (with SUM tool), patches, and fixes, installation of add-on software components
- Maintain multi-landscape environments through environment copies, system refreshes, and transport management
- Should have experience in oracle, SQL databases.
- Should have experience in LINUX PLATFORM
- Implement best practices, tools, and scripts to automate maintenance tasks.
- Create RFCs and should be able to configure TMS (Transport Management System)
- Perform routine maintenance such as kernel patches, oracle patches, and application of SAP Notes and fixes.
- Monitor and manage the servers, background jobs, performance of the system
- Monitor the status of work processes, application servers and system logs etc
- Assist the optimization, performance tuning, patching, and DB version upgrades
- Work with UNIX team to administer, configure and optimize SAP systems
- Work proactively in a team environment with minimum supervision
- Accept responsibility and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Interact effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Adapt to new situations, and maintain positive attitude.
- Subject to on-call rotation, after hours, and weekend work given the 24x7 need for support and maintenance.
