SAP Basis Consultant

Job Summary::

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Basis Consultant to manage and optimize our leveraged SAP environments. This role requires a unique blend of deep SAP Basis expertise, hands-on ABAP/Workflow development skills, and practical experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Key Responsibilities::

SAP Basis & Cloud Administration

• Lead core SAP Basis tasks, including installation, configuration, and administration of SAP S/4HANA, FIORI, SLT, SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN), SAP Cloud ALM (CALM), and Cloud Connector.
• Execute S/4HANA upgrades, Kernel patch upgrades, and applying Support Packages.
• Manage transport administration (TMS configuration) and background job management.
• Perform system refreshes and various client copies (local, export/import).
• Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) and manage SSL certificate installation.
• Provide expertise in SAP Sizing for new initiatives, including RISE with SAP and GROW with SAP.
• Occasional on-call responsibilities and direct interaction with clients for consultation and project execution.
• Maintain and tune the performance of the entire SAP landscape.

SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)

• Administer and configure cloud services within BTP.
• Set up and manage hybrid solutions (e.g., S/4HANA on-premise integration with Work Zone in BTP).
• Manage security and user administration within the BTP environment.

SAP Data & HANA Expertise

• Deep knowledge of SAP HANA In-Memory Platform core technology, including architecture, landscape design, installation, upgrades, performance tuning, and data archiving.
• Design and implement appropriate data migration solutions, covering SAP Data Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL).
• Design and implement SAP Data migration projects using ETL tools such as SAP Data Services, IBM DataStage, Syniti-DSP, or SAP native tools like LSMW, Migration Cockpit (LTMC).
• Utilize integration technologies such as IDOCs and BAPIs for data transfer.
• Lead or support the cutover planning and preparation of data migration runbooks for S/4HANA implementation projects.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Expertise in troubleshooting a wide range of complex issues, providing root cause analysis across S/4HANA, SAP BTP services, and integrated 3rd Party surrounding systems.

Required Qualifications & Experience::

• SAP Basis Experience: Must have at least 2 years of hands-on SAP Basis experience with participation in 2-3 full end-to-end life cycle SAP project implementations in a consulting background.
• ABAP & Technical Development: Must have more than 5 years of ABAP and Workflow development experience across various SAP modules.
• SAP S/4HANA Migration: Proven experience with implementing an S/4HANA Data migration project.

Technical Skills: Strong technical skills in all areas of the ABAP workbench, including:

1. List, interactive, & ALV reporting
2. BAPIs and BDC scripts
3. SAPscript & SMART Forms, Adobe Forms
4. Dialog Programming, User-Exits & Customer Enhancements
5. Performance Tuning, ABAP Objects, Workflow
6. Analyzing ABAP logs/dumps and researching SAP Notes.

Advanced Technical Knowledge (Good to Have):

1. ABAP on HANA, HANA SQL (SQLScript), and HANA Stored Procedures.
2. SAP Personas, Business Rules Framework (BRF+), and Master Data Governance Development (MDG).
