Position Title: Senior SAP Basis Consultant

Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis professional responsible for leading the design, implementation, optimization, and support of SAP landscapes. This role involves end-to-end ownership of system availability, performance, security, upgrades, migrations, and automation.

The Senior Basis Consultant will work closely with DBAs, OS, networking, and security teams, mentor junior staff, and support both on-premise and cloud SAP deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and implementation for SAP environments (ECC and S/4HANA) across Development, QA, and Production landscapes.
• Plan and execute installations, kernel upgrades, Support Package Stacks, patching, and SAP Note implementation.
• Drive database migrations and conversions, including SAP HANA migrations and S/4HANA conversions.
• Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Define backup/restore strategies and validate recovery procedures.
• Configure and manage SAP Solution Manager, CCMS, Focused Run, or equivalent monitoring platforms.
• Manage transport landscape and change control processes (CTS/CTS+).
• Automate operational tasks using scripting/orchestration tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.
• Ensure SAP system security, hardening, patching, and compliance audits.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Lead go-live activities and provide hypercare support.
• Coach and mentor junior SAP Basis administrators.
• Collaborate with cloud/infrastructure teams for SAP deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Maintain architecture documents, runbooks, capacity planning, and system sizing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC.
• Expertise in SAP HANA, Oracle, or SQL Server database administration.
• Proven experience in system installations, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
• Experience with backup/recovery, HA/DR solutions, and DR testing.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish.
• Strong technical English communication skills.
• Availability for on-call support and after-hours maintenance windows.
