Core Responsibilities
- System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems such as S/4HANA, ECC, and Solution Manager.
- Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor system performance, analyze incidents, and perform regular tasks like performance tuning and optimization to ensure smooth operation.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform system maintenance, apply patches, and handle upgrades and kernel updates.
- Security and User Management: Manage user access, roles, and authorizations, and ensure system security and data protection.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the SAP environment.
- Backups and Disaster Recovery: Conduct regular system backups and assist with disaster recovery planning.
- Collaboration: Work with functional consultants and technical teams to support project execution and ensure seamless integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven technical experience in SAP system installation, configuration, and administration.
- Expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of SAP system upgrades, patching, and system copies.
- Experience with user administration and security settings.
- Familiarity with database administration (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is becoming increasingly important.
