SAP Basis

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Professional with 4 years of experience in installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, and performing system administration tasks on SAP ABAP and Java systems. You will focus on maintaining the stability and performance of key SAP applications like BOBJ, ECC, and Solution Manager, working within a UNIX or Linux environment. This role requires familiarity with SAP transport management, the ability to perform system copies, and a commitment to 24x7 on-call support during US business hours.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform SAP Basis duties including installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, and system administration tasks on SAP ABAP and Java systems in a UNIX or Linux environment.
• Work extensively with SAP applications such as ECC 6.xx, BW 7.x, BOBJ 4.x, Portal 7.x, PO 7.x, GRC 10.x or higher, Netweaver Gateway 7.x, and Solution Manager 7.x, with a strong emphasis on BOBJ 4.x, ECC 6.xx, and Solution Manager (Technical Monitoring module).
• Maintain SAP transport management configuration and troubleshooting, with experience in ChaRM for transport management being a plus.
• Perform SAP system copies in collaboration with SAP DB2 or HANA DBAs.
• Maintain SAP basis configuration and procedure documentation.
• Configure and troubleshoot SAP application integration with DB2 LUW or HANA (DBA experience is not required).
• Operate during US Business hours (Monday through Friday).
• Participate in the SAP Basis on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for change management and issue resolution, including willingness to work over the weekend when needed.
• Potentially configure and maintain RFC destinations between systems, perform language installations, and conduct system refreshes.
• Potentially perform transport management system configuration, DAC installation, and analyze ABAP dumps.

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in SAP Basis roles.
• Expertise in installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, monitoring, and performing system administration tasks on SAP ABAP and Java systems in a UNIX or Linux environment.
• Experience with SAP applications: ECC 6.xx, BW 7.x, BOBJ 4.x, Portal 7.x, PO 7.x, GRC 10.x or higher, Netweaver Gateway 7.x, and Solution Manager 7.x, with a strong emphasis on BOBJ 4.x, ECC 6.xx, and Solution Manager (Technical Monitoring module).
• Familiarity with SAP transport management configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform SAP system copies in collaboration with SAP DB2 or HANA DBAs.
• Skill in maintaining SAP basis configuration and procedure documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to configure and troubleshoot SAP application integration with DB2 LUW or HANA.
• Willingness to be part of SAP Basis on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support and work weekends when needed.

Desired/Secondary Skills:

• Configured and maintain the RFC destinations between the systems, language installation, system refresh.
• Performing transport management system configuration, DAC installation, analyzing ABAB dumps.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
