We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to manage and maintain our SAP landscape, including SAP systems, databases, and associated infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, with expertise in Oracle database administration. This is a contractual role with an immediate start, and the candidate is expected to join within a week.
Responsibilities:
SAP System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including ECC, BW, CRM, and Solution Manager.
- Perform system copies, client copies, and system refreshes as needed.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning measures.
Database Administration:
- Administer Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and patching.
- Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Monitor database performance, optimize SQL queries, and implement database tuning measures.
System Upgrades and Patching:
- Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, support pack installations, and kernel upgrades.
- Apply SAP and Oracle patches and security updates as required.
System Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Implement and maintain system monitoring tools to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform regular system health checks, system sweeps, and housekeeping tasks.
User Management and Security:
- Manage user accounts, roles, and authorizations in SAP systems.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
Technical Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7-15 years of hands-on experience as a SAP Basis Administrator, with expertise in Oracle database administration.
- SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration (Oracle DB) with SAP NetWeaver certification is preferred.
- Strong understanding of SAP Basis components, including SAP NetWeaver, ABAP stack, and Java stack.
- Proficiency in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Experience with SAP HANA administration is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
