We are seeking a SAP Basis Consultant to join our Team. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain the SAP environment, ensuring system performance, availability, and security. The role involves both hands-on technical work and coordination with functional and development teams to ensure that all components of the SAP landscape are running efficiently. The SAP Basis Consultant acts as a key technical resource for the implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform daily SAP system checks and monitor system performance to ensure optimal operation;
  • Manage and monitor SAP system landscapes, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, SCM, and other SAP systems;
  • Perform routine tasks such as system copies, patches, kernel upgrades, and database maintenance;
  • Monitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and resolve issues to ensure SAP systems operate effectively;
  • Implement SAP system backups and restore processes, ensuring data integrity and system availability;
  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including new installations and upgrades for SAP applications, databases, and operating systems;
  • Execute release upgrades and support package applications, ensuring compliance with SAP guidelines and best practices;
  • Plan and conduct system migrations, both on-premises and to cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or SAP Cloud Platform;
  • Plan and execute S/4HANA system conversion autonomously;
  • Perform regular system tuning and capacity planning to maintain high system availability and performance;
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and optimize SAP systems for better efficiency;
  • Work with functional teams to address system performance issues and fine-tune configurations;
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for SAP Basis-related issues, coordinating with SAP Support and internal teams to resolve issues in a timely manner;
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL standards;
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience;
  • 2-4 years of experience in SAP Basis administration;
  • Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems, including installation, upgrade, and maintenance;
  • Hands-on experience with at least SAP HANA database.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud environments and services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform;
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages for system administration tasks;
  • Certifications in SAP Basis or related areas are preferred;
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support;
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training or business needs.
