About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on SAP Ariba Technical Lead to own the build, integration, master data, security, and release management for our Ariba landscape. This is a technical build and operations role-not a functional or techno-functional position. You will be the person who makes the functional design actually run: configuring the mechanics, building integrations, managing environments, and keeping the system stable in production.
What You'll Do
Sourcing, Contracts & Supplier Management
- Configure event/project templates, rules engines, and formula-based scoring for Sourcing (RFx & Auctions)
- Build CLM workspace templates, clause/assembly logic, and integrate DocuSign/Adobe Sign
- Develop Supplier Management SOAP/REST integrations and configure supplier hierarchies
- Integrate third-party risk and data providers (D&B, EcoVadis, RiskMethods)
Procure-to-Pay
- Configure Guided Buying, catalog loads (CIF), PunchOut/PunchOut Level 2
- Build approval-rule engines, PO transmission flows (cXML/EDI), and invoice document flows
- Integrate tax engines (Vertex or native) and configure exception routing
- Build payment, remittance, and ERP invoice-posting integrations through SAP CIG
Integration & Master Data
- Design and build supplier, commodity, and master-data integrations with SAP ECC/S4HANA using SAP CIG
- Work across cXML/XML, IDoc/BAPI, SOAP/REST, and SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or PI/PO middleware
- Implement SSO (SAML) and synchronize approval hierarchies
- Own error reprocessing, integration monitoring, and performance tuning
Environment, Release & Operations
- Manage realm migrations, transports, and configuration promotion across Dev/Test/Prod
- Lead technical UAT, cutover planning, and hypercare
- Own quarterly SAP Ariba release regression and impact assessment
What We are Looking For
- 5–6 years of hands-on SAP Ariba technical / build experience (Upstream and/or Downstream)
- Strong experience with SAP CIG, SAP Integration Suite (CPI) or PI/PO, cXML/XML, IDoc/BAPI, SOAP/REST, and EDI
- Experience with catalog management, PunchOut, Guided Buying, CLM, or SLP configuration
- Working knowledge of SSO/SAML, user & role management, and data access controls
- Experience with Ariba/Supplier Management APIs, OAuth, and SAP Developer Portal extensions
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud, Prism, and scheduled data extract processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills — you'll work directly with US-based stakeholders
- Ability to work US shift hours, fully remote
Role focus: Build, integration, master data, security and release management. We are NOT looking for Functional / Techno-Functional.
