Job Title: SAP Archiving Consultant

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka/Hyderabad, Telangana/Pune, Maharashtra, India (Hybrid)

About the Role

We're hiring an SAP Archiving Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Data Archiving, S/4HANA, HANA DB, ILM, and DVM. The role focuses on designing and implementing archiving strategies, optimizing data volumes, and ensuring compliance across large SAP landscapes. Ideal for someone skilled in SARA configurations, content repositories, and audit-ready data management.

This role may involve working with or supporting one of MatchPoint Solutions client organizations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support data archiving strategies in SAP S/4HANA systems with exposure to SAP HANA database environments.
• Configure and manage archiving using SARA and S/4HANA-compatible archiving objects.
• Apply knowledge of SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) in S/4HANA environments.
• Perform Infostructure configuration (create ZARIX tables/partitions based on archive date estimates).
• Create and maintain recordings in LSMW based on Excel runbooks to build jobs and variants.
• Utilize DART (Data Retention Tool) for audit support.
• Evaluate table usage using tools for avoidance, purging, and deletion.
• Implement AIF (Application Interface Framework) Data Archiving.
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure S/4HANA data retention and compliance requirements are met.
• Manage Data Volume Management (DVM) for S/4HANA systems.
• Work with content repositories and document archiving solutions.
• Analyze large data volumes and define archiving strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex archiving issues.

Qualifications

Required:

• 6–8 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP Data Archiving.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA, HANA DB, ILM, and DVM.
• Strong knowledge of SARA configurations, content repositories, and audit-ready data management.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
