Microsoft Services India Global Delivery delivers end-to-end solutions by enabling accelerated adoption and productive use of Microsoft technologies. We are looking for exceptional architects who have passion to lead large complex innovative programs for customers. 

Architect is a critical role in the solution implementation lifecycle cutting across all phases. Architects are technical leaders with a strong understanding of technology and the ability to apply it to drive business outcomes. Architects lead solution architecture, help with technical design, and provide technical governance throughout the lifecycle of Azure Cloud based solutions. Architects have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

2+ years experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams. 

4+ years managing multiple, complex projects or portfolios. 

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 10+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR equivalent experience. 

Technology Areas :  

• Configure, implement, and optimize SAP systems. 
• SAP ECC, S/4 HANA Design and Implementation 
• Propose SAP architectural designs, develop implementation plans and deployments to cloud-based SAP solutions 
• HA/DR and business continuity plans for SAP systems and applications 
• SAP Specific Infrastructure Right-sizing, capacity planning, performance tuning and cost analysis 
• SAP OS/DB migrations and deployment automation. 
• Experience with homogenous and heterogenous upgrades and migrations. 
• Act as subject matter expert on SAP technologies and provide guidance to team 
• Work with stakeholders and development teams to ensure the solution design meets business requirements 
• Provide guidance to configure SAP Solutions, support teams during development stage and ensure integration with other systems. 
• Assess the existing SAP landscape, analyze telemetry/monitoring, suggest optimizations and align with SAP best practices for migrations 
• Proactively Identify potential challenges, blockers and devise mitigation plans 
• Compliance, security and governance 
• In-depth knowledge of SAP modules and integration with other IT infrastructure and cloud technologies 
• Create standard operational procedure documentation relating to SAP application support processes 
• SAP BASIS certification 
• Demonstrated expertise in web services, virtualization and cloud concepts 
• Familiarity & Experience in many of the following: 
• SAP Basis Administration 
• SAP ERP/BW applications 
• User management, Basis Security and Governance 
• HANA Administration 
• SAP Netweaver stack 
• TREX 
• Solution manager 
• SAP Transport Management 
• Operating Systems (Windows, Linux – SUSE/RedHat) 
• Database Technologies(SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, ASE, etc.) 
• PowerShell/Bash Scripting 
• SAP Rise 

PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED: 

• Experience identifying services appropriate for hosting on PaaS and IaaS offerings, as well as migration to internal or external providers 
• Specialized knowledge of software & network components such as CDNs 
• Experience in Infrastructure and Configuration as code, as well as service auto-scale capabilities 

Additional or preferred qualifications 

Technical or Professional Certification in Domain (e.g., Security). 

5+ years people management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers. 

8+ years project management experience. 

8+ years technical sales experience.

• Collaborates with Project Manager to assess and mitigate risks

• Leverages structured approaches using existing methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) 
• Collaborates with Account Team/Bid Team to design cost-effective solutions 
• Defines and documents architecture using various artifacts 
• Ensures governance, oversight, and quality standards in implementation 
• Uses business-value approach to communicate architecture benefits 
• Drives project/technical governance through enterprise architecture processes 
• Demonstrates business value through customer collaboration 

Practice Development 

• Generates new and improves existing intellectual property. 
• Anticipates and addresses organization- and industry-wide gaps and needs. 
• Identifies scalable ideas and drives re-use of intellectual property. 
• Leads and contributes to internal and external communities. 

Thought Leadership 

• Initiates and drives external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons). 
• Mentors less experienced colleagues on technical and non-technical concepts. 
• Serves as an industry-leading expert through presentations, engagements, and publishing white papers. 
• Shares ideas, insights, and strategic input across boundaries to influence internal team members and stakeholders. 
• Provides thought leadership by driving critical decisions impacting Microsoft and the industry.

• Develops deep relationships with senior-level decision makers to address problems and facilitate views. 
• Acts as an advisor and provides direction to facilitate relationships. 
• Stays updated on Microsoft technologies, products, and services to communicate strategies and capabilities.

• Connects customers/partners with resources to support success and resolves conflicts proactively. 
• Leads the adoption of Microsoft solutions technologies and differentiates them in complex conversations.

• Mentors peers on internal resources usage best practices. 
• Coordinates with customer/partner stakeholders to socialize business solutions and project approaches.

• Gathers insights from a broad range of stakeholders to shape project execution. 
• Anticipates industry trends and influences long-term technology strategy.
