Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain APIs and integration services for SAP applications.
• Design and implement RESTful and OData services based on business requirements.
• Develop and enhance integrations between SAP and external/non-SAP applications.
• Work with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP systems to expose and consume APIs.
• Develop and maintain API interfaces using appropriate SAP integration technologies.
• Troubleshoot API failures, integration issues, authentication problems, and data inconsistencies.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and technical teams to understand integration requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, API documentation, interface mappings, and test cases.
• Monitor API performance and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.
• Support API enhancements, version upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow SAP development standards, security guidelines, and integration best practices.

Required Technical Skills

• 2–3 years of experience in SAP API / Integration Development.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and OData services.
• Good knowledge of JSON, XML, HTTP/HTTPS, and API communication protocols.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI) is preferred.
• Understanding of API authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, Basic Authentication, and certificates.
• Experience working with SAP Gateway and OData services.
• Basic knowledge of ABAP and SAP technical architecture.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar tools.
• Good understanding of integration troubleshooting, logging, and error handling.
• Knowledge of SAP API Management is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with API Management, security, throttling, policies, and API lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Connector.
• Exposure to enterprise integration patterns and middleware technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
