Role Overview
Zensar is seeking an experienced
SAP PP/QM Consultant to support
AMS (Application Management Services) engagements for global manufacturing clients. The role focuses on
L2/L3 support, incident/problem management, minor enhancements, and continuous improvement in an
ITIL & SLA‑driven environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities✅ AMS Support & Incident Management
- Provide L2/L3 production support for SAP PP and QM modules
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and defects within defined SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Reduce recurring production and quality‑related issues
✅ Change Requests & Enhancements
- Handle minor enhancements and configuration changes in PP/QM
- Prepare Functional Specifications (FS) and coordinate with ABAP teams
- Support transport management and release cycles
✅ Client & Stakeholder Interaction
- Act as functional SPOC for PP/QM AMS support
- Interact with business users across regions (US / EU / APAC)
- Participate in AMS governance calls, SLA reviews, and reporting
✅ Testing & Documentation
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and UAT support
- Maintain ticket documentation, SOPs, KT documents, and knowledge base
- Support transition and knowledge‑transfer activities
✅ Integration Support
- Handle PP/QM integration issues with:
- MM (MRP, inventory, procurement)
- SD (delivery, batch management where applicable)
- FI/CO (production postings, variances, settlements)
Qualifications
Required SkillsSAP PP Functional
- MRP, BOM, Work Centers
- Production / Process Orders
- Capacity planning & confirmations
- Order settlement & variance analysis
SAP QM Functional
- Inspection types (01, 04, etc.)
- Quality notifications & results recording
- Usage decision (UD)
- QM integration with PP & MM
AMS / Support Experience
- 3-5 years in SAP AMS / production support
- Experience in ITIL & SLA‑based delivery models
- Hands‑on with ServiceNow / Remedy / JIRA
Preferred Skills (Zensar Focus)
- ✅ Exposure to S/4HANA PP/QM support
- ✅ Pharma domain experience (Discrete / Process industry)
- ✅ Client‑facing communication experience
- ✅ SAP PP or QM Certification (good to have)
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical & troubleshooting abilities
- Clear business communication
- Ability to handle high‑pressure AMS environments
- Good documentation & reporting discipline
