About the Role
HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP on HANA / OData Consultant to join our dynamic SAP practice in Lucknow. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in SAP ABAP, ABAP on HANA, SAP S/4HANA, OData Services, and SAP BTP, who are passionate about delivering innovative and scalable SAP solutions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to build next-generation enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications using ABAP on HANA and SAP S/4HANA technologies.
- Develop high-performance solutions leveraging HANA database capabilities and code pushdown techniques.
- Design and build OData services for SAP Fiori and integration requirements.
- Perform SAP S/4HANA conversion and remediation activities, including:
- SPAU Adjustments
- SPDD Adjustments
- Simplification Item (S4H) Violations Remediation
- SOH (Suite on HANA) Violations Remediation
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Develop custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, workflows, and SAP extensions.
- Build and deploy applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP on HANA, with exposure to at least two full-cycle SAP implementation or migration projects.
- Recent project experience (within the last four years) in:
- SAP S/4HANA
- ABAP on HANA
- SAP Upgrade/Conversion Programs
- Strong expertise in:
- SAP ABAP
- ABAP on HANA
- SAP S/4HANA
- OData Services
- SAP BTP
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 development and integration.
- Knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
- Exposure to SAP Integration Suite and SAP BTP services.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation and brownfield conversion projects.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
