Job Description

The SAP ABAP & Integration Architect is responsible for designing and delivering ABAP solutions with a strong focus on integrations. This includes end-to-end development of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Workflows (RICEFW), along with robust integration strategies leveraging APIs, OData, CDS Views, and Web Services.

The role requires close collaboration with functional teams, customers, and offshore teams to understand business needs and deliver scalable, performance-optimized solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, specializing in system integrations across SAP and non-SAP landscapes
  • Strong delivery capabilities in RICEFW objects with at least one full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation and support project
  • Expertise in:
  • OO-ABAP
  • ABAP on HANA
  • Adobe Forms
  • Performance tuning and code optimization
  • Proven experience with SAP Integration technologies, including:
  • OData Services
  • CDS Views
  • AMDP
  • RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
  • API Management and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
  • Experience integrating with cloud and third-party applications via RFCs, IDOCs, Proxies, BAPIs, and REST APIs
  • Basic exposure to Fiori/UI5 applications and extending standard apps via OData
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in cross-system data exchanges
  • Understanding of business processes across FICO, SD, MM, WM, and the ability to translate requirements into technical specifications
  • Proactive communication with stakeholders for requirements gathering, technical feasibility, and implementation planning
  • Ability to propose scalable and secure integration architectures in SAP environments

Position Requirements

Education & Qualification:

  • B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field
  • SAP ABAP and/or Integration Certification (preferred)

Experience:

  • 10+ years
  • Telecom industry experience is a plus

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • Good communication skills
  • Service-oriented mindset and goal-driven approach
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of business needs
  • Team player with the ability to work under pressure and beyond regular hours when required
