Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ABAP-based applications in S/4HANA environment
- Develop and optimize CDS Views with appropriate annotations and performance considerations
- Build and enhance OData services using SEGW and integrate with UI5/Fiori applications
- Apply code pushdown techniques leveraging SAP HANA capabilities
- Work on RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
- Perform performance tuning and debugging of ABAP programs
- Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and UI developers in Agile Dev Factory setup
- Support integration scenarios (APIs, IDocs, Web Services)
- Ensure adherence to development standards, code quality, and documentation
Required Skills Experience- 510+ years of strong experience in Core ABAP development
- Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA (implementation or conversion projects)
- Strong expertise in:
- ABAP OO Programming
- Enhancements (BADI, User Exits)
- ALV Reports
- Solid experience in:
- CDS Views (Core Data Services)
- HANA concepts (code pushdown, performance optimization)
- Experience in:
- OData development using SEGW
- CRUD operations and service integration
- Basic to intermediate exposure to:
- SAP UI5 / Fiori (XML views, controllers, OData consumption)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
- Knowledge of Fiori Elements
- Exposure to AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
- Experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Familiarity with Agile / Dev Factory delivery models
- Knowledge of tools like abapGit
