Job Description

Develop ABAP applications including reports, module pool programming, BDC, and interactive forms.
Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles for better design and performance.
Design, develop, and maintain Function Modules (FM), RFC, BAPI, and Web Services for integrations.
Build and manage Smart Forms and Adobe Forms for print layout requirements.
Enhance SAP standard functionalities using BADI and User Exits.
Create rich user interfaces using ABAP Web Dynpro.
Develop and manage ABAP Dictionary objects (tables, views, data elements, domains, indexes).
Translate functional/technical specifications into high-quality ABAP solutions.
Perform debugging, bug fixes, and performance tuning to optimize system efficiency.
Prepare technical documentation per BPCL's templates and standards.
Contribute to medium and large-scale SAP projects ensuring timely and quality delivery.
Role Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
3+ years of ABAP development experience in non-HR SAP modules.
Proficiency in report programming, module pool, BDC, interactive forms, and OOP.
Strong knowledge of Function Modules, RFC, BAPI, and Web Services.
Expertise in Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, and enhancement techniques like BADI and User Exits.
Hands-on experience in Web Dynpro and ABAP Dictionary objects.
Capability to debug and optimize code for performance.
Experience preparing technical documentation as per project standards.
Exposure to SAP HANA, Fiori, UI5, and SAP integration technologies (IDocs, BAPI, RFC) is a plus.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
